Code Compliance Responsibilities

The Code Compliance Team is four dedicated officers charged with maintaining the livability of neighborhoods through the use of various Vancouver Municipal Codes, including the Minimum Property Maintenance Code, the Development Code and the Solid Waste Management Ordinance.

The Code Compliance Team's goal is to gain voluntary compliance through education and assistance. When voluntary compliance is not achieved, civil and/or criminal orders and notices to violators may be issued.
