The Academy

Originally the Providence Academy, a boarding school for girls founded by Mother Joseph of the Sacred Heart in 1874. At that time, the three-story Catholic school was the largest brick building north of San Francisco. It is now home to a variety of businesses as well as a three-story chapel and a 5,000-sqare-foot ballroom which is rented for weddings and other functions.
