Corporal Drue Russell - Neighborhood Police Officer, Vancouver Police Department * The role and impact of Neighborhood Police Officers, some examples of how CPTED principles have been implemented locally, and the importance of using CPTED principles in the early design stage of new buildings and open spaces.

Jean K. Akers, ASLA, CLARB, AICP - Capital Program Manager, Vancouver-Clark Parks & Recreation * An overview of design concepts incorporated into public parks to create safer communities and engaging open spaces with people in mind.

Vaughn Lein, AIA, Principal, LSW Architects * Safe by Design:  A summary and examples of how safety and security issues are addressed in the design of schools and other civic institutions.

Carol Mayer-Reed, FASLA - Landscape Architect, Planner * Successful Urban Environments Through Urban Design: A presentation of case studies of public streets and other open spaces that have incorporated design principles that promote healthy downtowns.
