April 10, "Moving Beyond a Shareholder Focus: Using Corporate Social Responsibility to Create Long-Term Competitive Advantage," by Dr. Joseph Cote of WSU Vancouver. Critics have argued that the traditional shareholder focus is insufficient to guide strategy development and implementation. They suggest that companies need to act in a socially responsible way to be successful. But in practice, the value of corporate social responsibility appears mixed. The official media sponsor of these seminars is The Columbian; the official print sponsor is Alphagraphics. WSU Vancouver is located at 14204 NE Salmon Creek Ave., east of the 134th Street exit from either I-5 or I-205, or via C-Tran bus service.
