Nez Perce Chief Redheart Memorial

Time: 10 AM to 1 PM

A traditional memorial to remember Chief Redheart’s band, including singing in honor of the ancestors, the Riderless Horse (Empty Saddle) Ceremony, the Sacred Pipe Ceremony, and recognition of Veterans.

Each year Nez Perce tribal members travel to sites important in their history to conduct traditional memorials to honor their ancestors.   This memorial ceremony takes place at the Fort Vancouver National Historic Site.

There is no admission charge.
