Earth Day Celebration

April 17, 2010
Time: 10 AM to 2 PM

Vancouver-Clark Parks & Recreation and its local partners invite everyone to a free community celebration of Earth Day, April 17 at Marshall Community Center.

Includes a free Lunch, demonstrations, door prizes, local Vendors, hands on fun, garden resources.

Demonstrations throughout the day include:
• Raised beds
• Planting
• Tending
• Harvesting
• Preserving
• Tree planting with Vancouver Urban Forestry
• Composting free compost
and other learning opportunities for the whole family

The City of Vancouver’s partners in this event are Bauman Chiropractic, Clark County, Urban Farm School, Vancouver Watersheds Council, Waste Connections, City of Vancouver Public Works, Rain or Shine, Project Service Leadership, Loaves and Fishes and Columbia Resource Company.
