The Comprehensive Plan provides the overall long-term vision and policy direction for managing the built and natural environment in Vancouver, and providing necessary public facilities. The zoning code contains specific development standards. The Plan and Code also contain maps designating the types of uses allowed on individual properties citywide.
Accepting proposals for 2016 Annual Review amendments
Comprehensive Plans may be amended as frequently as once per year under state law. Amendment proposals, including site-specific Comprehensive Plan and zoning designation change requests from property owners, are reviewed by the City of Vancouver as part of the Annual Review program. Pre-applications conferences are required for proposed site-specific changes. Pre-application forms will be accepted through April 30, 2016. Formal applications will be accepted from June 1 to June 15.
