Destination Downtown is an effort by the City of Vancouver, with support from C-TRAN and Vancouver’s Downtown Association, to attract visitors and employees to local businesses, reduce drive-alone trips, make efficient use of on-street parking, and make downtown more vibrant and successful.
Through the program downtown employees can register at MyDestinationDowntown.com, where they can then track their commute trips and earn rewards for trying out new commute options, such as transit, carpool, walking, and bicycling. They’ll also get access to free information and services, including customized trip-planning assistance, downtown maps for all commute options, trial permits and passes, and much more. Plus, when employees register online they’ll receive a welcome packet that includes a coupon book with offers at more than 40 downtown businesses and services, all within a lunchtime walk from most workplaces.
