Schedule an Inspection

Inclement weather notice:
During unsafe driving conditions, certain inspections may not be completed on the day the inspections are scheduled. Inspections not performed will move to the next business day, which may cause a ripple effect on the schedule. Inspection staff will make an effort to contact the applicant or contractor affected by inspection cancelation. Priority will be given to work involving restoration of essential services (such as power, gas, heat or water). Outdoor inspections such as sewer laterals, foundations, grading, etc. may be moved to the next feasible day.

City building and electrical inspectors conduct inspections to ensure compliance with approved plans, and local and State building code regulations; they conduct inspections that relate to life-safety, structural integrity, accessibility, energy-efficiency, electrical, plumbing and mechanical systems. The inspection process helps ensure public safety, health and welfare, and secures the value of the improvements.
