Bill Turlay was elected to council in November 2011 and took his oath of office January 2, 2012. He was elected to his current term in November 2015.   He attended Willamette University and later received his Bachelor's degree from the U.S. Naval Postgraduate School in 1965.  Bill is a retired navy carrier pilot who made six Western Pacific cruises during his more than 20 year career, including three during the Vietnam conflict.

During the past 35 years, Bill has owned or managed companies in the private sector.  He and his wife of over 50 years, Stephanie, have owned a beverage supply company for 19 years.
