State of the City 2014

On Wednesday, March 12, Vancouver Mayor Timothy D. Leavitt will return to his Alma Mater, Fort Vancouver High School, to deliver the 2014 State of the City Address, “Our Vision. Our Legacy. Our Vancouver.” Watch the event promo video.

This free public event will occur from 9 to 10:30 a.m. in the Fort Vancouver High School Auditorium, 5700 East 18th St. Doors open at 8:30 a.m.

The Mayor’s annual event will celebrate the achievements, growth and progress the City of Vancouver and the community have experienced over the past year and during recent years in adjusting to the new economy. Leavitt will share changes to City business operations that will have a lasting impact on the community. He will describe the City’s and his own vision and focus for the future, highlighting a new chapter in history to be developed by the end of the decade.

The address will stream live online at www.cvtv.org, and live commentary from the event will also be posted on Facebook and tweeted on Twitter with the hashtag #VanSOC. It will also broadcast live on CVTV cable channel 23. The event will also replay on cable TV and be available on demand for streaming afterwards at www.cvtv.org.

The City will collect donations at the event for the Clark County Skills Center Foundation, Mayor Leavitt’s designated event charity. More information about the Skills Center Foundation can be found on their website at http://ccscfoundation.com.
