Vancouver thanks City Councilors Jeanne Harris & Jeanne Stewart for their service

 

City Councilors Jeanne Harris (left) and Jeanne E. Stewart (right) were honored for their many years of dedicated service to the City at the Dec. 9 Council meeting and public reception.

At the Council meeting, Mayor Timothy J. Leavitt presented both women with commemorative bricks inscribed with their names that will be placed in Propstra Square beneath the bell tower in Esther Short Park. Watch CVTV video coverage of the special presentation to Councilors Harris and Stewart.

Jeanne Harris was elected to City Council in 1997 and represented the Council on a number of boards and committees, including the C-Tran Board, the Council for the Homeless, the Southwest Washington Clean Air Agency, the Public Health Advisory Committee, the Chamber of Commerce, the Clark Regional Wastewater District Oversight Committee and the National League of Cities Steering Committee on Human Development. Jeanne E. Stewart was elected to City Council in 2001 and represented the Council on a number of of boards and committees, including the C-Tran Board, Regional Transportation Council, Clark County Solid Waste Advisory Board, Clark Regional Economic Development Council, the National League of Cities Transportation Infrastructure Committee and the Chamber of Commerce.
