City of Vancouver requests proposals for sound production at the 2010 summer concerts at Esther Short Park

Proposals may be submitted to events@ci.vancouver.wa.us or mailed to City of Vancouver Attn: Cara Cantonwine PO BOX 1995 Vancouver, WA 98668.
All Submissions must be made by 5 p.m. Wednesday, March 3, 2010.
*Talent has already been selected for these series.*

All applicants must provide:

  • Proof of a City of Vancouver Business License (or written intent to obtain one if selected)
  • Proof of Insurance. The amount of insurance coverage shall be not less than Five Hundred Thousand Dollars ($500,000) combined single limit for bodily injury and property damage under a commercial general liability policy in which the City of Vancouver is named as an additional insured.

The Noon Concert Series begins Wednesday, July 7, 2010 and runs each Wednesday noon for six consecutive weeks concluding on August 11, 2010. The concerts run from noon to 1:00 p.m. These concerts feature local talent in small ensembles. Applicants interested in the Noon Concerts must meet or exceed the following requirements:

  • System with 2 subwoofer speakers
  • 2 Speakers set between 7 and 10 feet off the ground on either side of the stage
  • 1 Speaker placed on the west side of the stage directed toward the playground area
  • 4 Monitor speakers
  • 2 mixers
  • All microphones needed for performers
  • 1 wireless microphone for emcee
  • Other equipment as needed by performers

The Riverview Six to Sunset Concert Series begins Thursday, July 8, 2010 and runs each Thursday night for six consecutive weeks concluding on August 12, 2010. True to the name, concerts begin at 6:00 p.m. and conclude at approximately 8:00 p.m. These concerts feature local and regional large acts and may require some specialized lighting in addition to sound production. Applicants interested in the Riverview Six to Sunset Concerts must meet or exceed the following requirements:

  • 4 Subwoofer speakers
  • 6 Mid-high speakers
  • Appropriate amplifiers and sound wings
  • 8 wedge monitor speakers
  • 40 channel mixer
  • Microphones, cables, and other equipment per requirements of each band
  • Full time mixer engineer
  • Full time front of house engineer
  • Stage lighting (minimal)

This summer the Riverview Six to Sunset Concerts will feature:
July 8 - 5 Guys Named Moe
July 15 - Patrick Lamb
July 22 - The Antics
July 29 - Quarterflash
August 5 - Zuzo Blue
August 12 - Johnny Limbo & The Lugnuts

Applicants may submit proposals for one or both concert series.
