Media Services

Media Services coordinates a broad range of communication opportunities intended to maximize the city’s conversational impact with citizens. These include video, print and computer media. The Cable TV Office, funded by Vancouver and Clark County, regulates franchise agreements with Comcast and other telecommunications providers. It also coordinates award-winning government cable access CVTV Channel 23. The office produces hundreds of hours of local programming annually, including coverage of Vancouver City Council meetings and workshops.

The Publication Services Division generates a variety of publications and related media, including the Vancouver City Flyer newsletter, Senior Messenger newspaper, support materials for various city programs and the city’s official internet site (which you are now visiting). In 1997 and 1998, this website won a Silver Savvy Award, presented by the City-County Communications & Marketing Association.

The Mailroom/Printshop prints most of the city's publications. The mailroom handles incoming and outgoing city mail.
