Chief Joe Molina joined the Vancouver Fire Department as the Deputy Chief of Operations in January of 2008.  He was appointed the Fire Chief in February 2011.
As Fire Chief he oversees the activities of the Fire Department including Fire Suppression, Special Operations, Emergency Medical Services, Fire and Life safety code compliance, Training and Support Services.
Chief Molina began his fire service career with the Waco (TX) Fire Department in 1992 as a firefighter. He moved up the ranks to Apparatus Operator, Lieutenant, and Captain and in 2003 promoted to Assistant Fire Chief. Chief Molina is a Licensed Paramedic (TX) and a certified (TX) Master Firefighter.
Chief Molina’s educational background includes a Bachelor's degree in Fire Administration and Management from Western Illinois University; an Associate degree in Applied Science/Paramedic Management from McLennan Community College in Waco, Texas; and an Associate degree of Applied Science/Fire Service Administration degree from Weatherford College in Weatherford, Texas.
