The Downtown Fire House is in the heart of downtown Vancouver. It is home to multiple firefighting companies and their emergency response and medical equipment. 

Due to the type of occupancies in the immediate service area, the Downtown Fire House focuses on highrise fire safety and associated residential fire safety such as prevention of kitchen fires. We also support the new practial CPR training.

With its proximity to the Columbia River, water safety is also a priority at the Downtown Firehouse.

The fire house also keeps a small display of fire related historical artifacts and equipment.

The Downtown Fire House was the original headquarters for the Department until 1994 when the department consolidated with Fire District #5 and the administration moved to the Walnut Grove Firehouse. 

Apparatus: 100-foot tractor-drawn aerial (TDA) ladder truck, one engine, one reserve 100-foot TDA and Rescue Boat 1 (kept on the river).
