The Cascade Park Station is staffed by three firefighters and has a first due response area of 6.8 square miles that is home to 28,130 people.

The station area covers large residential and commercial areas, as well as 2.5 miles of Columbia River waterfront, and the I-205 bridge.

The Cascade Park Fire Station is the home of Engine 8, the busiest Engine Company in Vancouver.  In 2009 Engine 8 responded to 2909 calls for service.

Engine 8 is a 2008 Pierce Arrow XT. It carries 500 gallons of water and has a pump rated to flow 1250 gallons per minute.

The station also houses Brush 8, a 1993 Ford 4 wheel drive with a 250 gallon water tank and a 250 gallon per minute pump.

Brush 8 is used for wildland and urban interface firefighting.  It is staffed by a member of the crew of Engine 8 when it is needed.
