The Orchards-Burton Fire House is happy to have you visit for a blood pressure check or to answer your questions. We may not be at home due to training or emergency response.

The Orchards-Burton Fire House is home to a ladder truck that carries a 100--foot-long ladder and is steered from both ends for maneuverability. We house one of the city's reserve engines and one of the city's two brush fire units.

We are happy to help you track your blood pressure, help you with a home escape plan, answer any questions you may have about disaster preparedness or Community Emergency Response Teams.

The Orchards-Burton Firehouse is staffed with four people 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. These four, rotating every 24 hours from one of three shifts, form the crew of Truck 6. Of the four, one is a captain, and one is a paramedic. Overseeing operations across all three shifts is the Station Captain, one of the three Truck 6 captains who is appointed to serve in this added role.
