Neighborhood Action Plans
Neighborhood Action Plans are long-range plans used by City Departments, Commissions and City Council to guide future decisions involving development proposals, budget approvals, and plan amendments affecting each neighborhood. The plan gives the City and its departments a collective document outlining the neighborhood’s values and priorities. An Action Plan enables a neighborhood to create an internal vision and define the steps to achieve goals.
Neighborhood Action Planning Kit
A Neighborhood Action Planning Kit has been developed to act as a guide for Vancouver neighborhoods as they prepare their Neighborhood Action Plan document. The recommended process included in the kit is not a formula to be rigidly followed, but only a suggested approach that can be adapted to fit the needs and participation in your neighborhood association. We encourage neighborhoods to bring their own creativity to the process and to remain flexible.
