In 1965, Burton Road was considered the country. All the land around Evergreen High School was agricultural/pasture land. There was no stadium or present day high school.
In 1970 Burton Road was scattered with homes on acreage. The only subdivision was the area north of the Skills Center and the area between 127th Avenue to 131st Avenue. Horse and cow pastures bordered 129th Avenues and a dead end at 31st Street. The closest grocery store was on Andresen or Mill Plain. There were no convenience stores or gas stations within 2-3 miles of the high school. Since that time the area around Image has grown considerably. Image neighborhood has a few large and small businesses such as SEH America and the Skills Center. Image neighborhood is made up primarily of single family residences with some multi-family dwellings.
