Calendar of Events

Community Events and City-Sponsored Events that meet the following definitions may be promoted on the Events Calendar page of the City of Vancouver Web site:

Community Event – An event which;
1. Is open to the public;
2. Is within the urban growth boundary of the City of Vancouver;
3. Is non-partisan;
4. Is non-commercial;
5. Does not promote any religion or religious viewpoint, and
6. Is in accord with the strategic plan and operating principles of the City of Vancouver
City-Sponsored Event – An event receiving City cash support or in-kind resources.

Events that do not fit these definitions will not be promoted on the City of Vancouver Web site.

Privacy

All visits to the City of Vancouver Web site are automatically recorded in a log file maintained on the Web server. This information does not identify any site visitor personally. It provides only anonymous, general information such as, when visitors come to the site, what pages they view, what types of software they use to access the site, and what site, if any, linked them to the City of Vancouver site.

Personal information is only recorded when a site visitor chooses to provide it by filling out an on-line form or sending an e-mail. The City of Vancouver does not share this information with other agencies or persons unless required by law, or if the personal information is part of a request or comment about government services or policies that is forwarded to the appropriate agency outside the City of Vancouver.
