Marshall Community Center was constructed in 1965, and
has served as the cornerstone of recreation activities in Vancouver for nearly 50 years.
The Center's well-loved swimming pool is where many Vancouver residents learned
to swim.
Marshall Community Center Renovation Information
The Marshall Community Center was renovated in 2006-07. Some of the upgrades and changes include:
- Fitness Center with 2,800 sq ft weight room
- Aerobics/dance studio with wood sprung floor
- Arts/crafts studio with outdoor work terrace
- Expansion of the Oak/Elm rooms with addition of a balcony
- Public address sound system
- New floors, carpet and paint
- ADA-approved accessibility features, including an elevator
- Drop slide in the pool
- Gym upgrades, including new flooring, equipment, lighting and acoustical features
- Completely renovated HVAC system that will substantially reduce energy cost
- New SPOT teen lounge adjacent to the Game Room
- New wiring, plumbing and phone lines
