Parks, trails, and open spaces in Vancouver and Clark County provide a wealth of benefits.
They set the stage for healthy and active families, a place for neighbors to meet, a chance to
grow your own food in a community garden, and are safe, fun places for kids to play. They enhance
our community's livability, sustainability and economic vitality.
Many of the special features you find in parks across Vancouver and Clark County, such as
benches, play equipment, and picnic tables, have been developed with the generous support of
partnering organizations and donors. We are always looking for partnerships and contributions
to make your parks even better. Let our staff and partners at the Parks Foundation of Vancouver
and Clark County find an opportunity for your support.
Picnic Tables, Shelters, and other Special Features
We have a number of new amenities that can be added to parks according to recently developed
park master plans. Please contact the Parks Foundation for a list of options. Choose from picnic
shelters, gazebos, community gardens, playgrounds, tables, trails, and more!
The Bench Program
Honor a family, friend, loved one or event with a bench donation. You may designate an existing
bench with a beautiful honor plaque, or select a park and provide a new bench with honor plaque.
A granite plaque will be placed to recognize your generous donation.
Donated benches are located throughout the city of Vancouver and Clark County in existing
parks and along trails. New benches are welcome in all parks and along trails. Locations have
been identified throughout our community where benches are needed to provide places for people
to rest and enjoy the park and/or trail area.
For benches at locations not identified on the map, please fill out the bench donation application
with your requested location specified. Though not all location special requests may be
appropriate in the context of the park or trail's master plan, we will work with you to find a
great location for your bench.
