Gifford Pinchot National Forest covers 1,366,000 acres, only
1,180 acres lie within Clark County, along the Clark/Skamania County boundary.
The Forest provides recreation opportunities for camping, hiking, fishing,
hunting, and off-road vehicles. The Forest also supports a variety of wildlife,
including elk, deer, cougar, black bear, coyote, owls, hawks, ruffed and blue grouse.
