For your safety, the following rules and warnings have been developed:
ALL PARKS
- NO diving, jumping, horseplay
- NO glass containers on beaches
- Pets required to be on a leash. Owners MUST clean up after their pets
FRENCHMAN'S BAR PARK
- Unguarded beach and river
- Fast currents
- Water depth varies
- Sudden river bed drop-offs
- Potential pollutants
- NO personal watercraft may access the beach area for ANY reason, including, but not limited to, docking or loading/unloading passengers
- Swim at your own risk
LEWISVILLE PARK
- Unguarded beach and river
- Fast currents
- Water depth varies
- Swim at your own risk
SALMON CREEK/KLINELINE POND
- No pets in the developed beach/turf areas
- No boats or kayaks on pond, unless permitted
- No swimming beyond the designated area
- No abusing ropes, buoys, pilings or boom
- ONLY U.S. Coast Guard approved personal flotation devices* are allowed at Klineline. They should not be used in water deeper than 4 feet.
VANCOUVER LAKE PARK
- No pets in the developed beach/turf areas April - October
- Unguarded beach and lake
- Sudden lake bed drop-offs
- Swim at your own risk
- No swimming beyond designated areas
- No abusing ropes, buoys, pilings or boom
*ADDITIONAL CAUTIONS REGARDING FLOTATION DEVICES:
- Flotation devices are not foolproof; they are NOT a substitute for close guardian supervision.
- Parents/guardians MUST remain within arms reach of small children using any flotation device.
- If you can't swim well enough to be safe in deep water without a flotation device, you aren't safe with one either.
