Mission / Values
In 1997, Clark County and the city of Vancouver consolidated their respective parks departments into the joint Vancouver-Clark Parks & Recreation Department. The department now provides recreation and sports programs for residents of all ages and manages nearly 7,000 acres of parkland, over 44 miles of trails, a number of community facilities, including pools, a tennis/racquetball center, and community centers. The department is organized around three main lines of business:
