The City of Vancouver and Gaynor's Automotive is proud to present six movies at parks around the City, free to you! Bring your blankets and lawn chairs and enjoy big screen entertainment. All movies are family friendly. Come early to get a good spot and participate in pre-movie activities.
+ Friday, July 8: Inside Out at John Ball Park - CANCELED DUE TO RAIN
After young Riley is uprooted from her Midwest life and moved to San Francisco, her emotions - Joy, Fear, Anger, Disgust and Sadness - conflict on how best to navigate a new city, house, and school. This movie will be shown at John Ball Park.
+ Friday, July 15: Star Wars: The Force Awakens at Marshall Park
Three decades after the defeat of the Galactic Empire, a new threat arises. The First Order attempts to rule the galaxy and only a ragtag group of heroes can stop them, along with the help of the Resistance. This movie will be shown at Marshall Community Park.
+ Friday, July 22: Tomorrowland at Fruit Valley Park
Bound by a shared destiny, a teen bursting with scientific curiosity and a former boy-genius inventor embark on a mission to unearth the secrets of a place somewhere in time and space. This movie will be shown at Fruit Valley Park.
+ Friday, July 29: Jurassic World at Fort Vancouver
A new theme park is built on the original site of Jurassic Park. Everything is going well until the park's newest attraction - a genetically modified giant stealth killing machine - escapes containment. This movie will be shown at the Fort Vancouver National Historic Site Parade Grounds.
+ Friday, August 5: Princess Bride at Waterworks Park
While home sick in bed, a young boy's grandfather reads him a story called The Princess Bride. This movie will be shown at Waterworks Park.
+ Friday, August 12: Goosebumps at John Ball Park
A teenager teams up with the daughter of young adult horror author R. L. Stine after the writer's imaginary demons are set free on the town of Madison, Delaware. This movie will be shown at John Ball Park.
Special Event Volunteers help register participants, set up and take down tables and tents, provide litter control, hand out prizes and much more! If you enjoy interacting with the public, can work outside in a variety of weather conditions and are at least 18 years of age (or 13 years old with a guardian) you may be interested in this position.
