Volunteer Opportunities with Parks and Recreation

Volunteers play an important role in helping to provide quality programs and extending the reach of Parks and Recreation services. Volunteers with a lot of enthusiasm but not a lot of time can choose to give their time at a one-day work party. Looking for an ongoing position? Interact with visitors at the front desk of a community center, help out in the office or coach a youth sports league!

Volunteers can make a difference helping in these areas:

  • Parks (Adopt-A-Park, Work Parties, Park Maintenance, Invasive Species Removal)
  • Recreation (Access to Recreation, Youth Sports, Fifty and Better Programs, Childwatch)
  • Events (Set Up, Check-In, Tabling)
  • #VancouverVolunTEEN (for students 14-19)

Interested in a one-time volunteer opportunity? See a list of upcoming dates on our Calendar.
