Vancouver Parks and Recreation maintains four covered picnic shelters that are available for reservation at the following parks:
Picnic shelter reservations cost $50 per day. These fees help pay to keep the shelters clean and in working order. The shelters are available free of charge when not already reserved.
Picnic shelter reservations can be made up to one year in advance of events occurring between May 1 and September 30. Shelters are not available for reservation October through April.
Shelter Reservation Cancelation Policy
If canceled one month or more before the rental date, 100% of the fee minus a $10 processing fee will be refunded. If canceled 1-4 weeks before the rental date, 75% of the fee minus a $10 processing fee will be refunded. No refunds will be granted if the reservation is canceled less than one week prior to the rental date.
Picnic Shelters through Clark County Parks and Trails
The County maintains several picnic shelters at Captain William Clark Regional Park, Frenchman's Bar Regional Park, Lewisville Regional Park, Salmon Creek Regional Park and Vancouver Lake Regional Park. These are available for reservation May 1 - September 30, like Vancouver Parks and Recreation picnic shelters.
Park Use Permits
Depending on the type of event you're hosting, you will need to get a Park Use Permit from Vancouver Parks and Recreation. A Park Use Permit gives you permission to bring special items and equipment into the park and describes any approved special services or park staff assistance. Please visit our Frequently Asked Questions page to find out if your event requires a Park Use Permit.
For more information about holding events in parks, please call Sean Douglas at 360-487-8337.
Picnic shelters at David Douglas Park and Leverich Park are available free of charge on a first-come, first-served basis (no reservations).
