Safety and Crime Prevention - Homeless/Transient Resources

Many issues related to homelessness are not criminal, therefore calling 911 may not be the best use of police resources. 

The Council for the Homeless has a detailed and regularly updated resource guide available on their website that addresses a variety of issues. Please visit the Council for the Homeless Resource Guide if you believe that the issue does not require the assistance of a Police Officer.

If you are unsure about what resource may be best for certain situations the Citizen Resource Guide may assist you in contacting the appropriate agency. If the situation requires the assistance of a police officer, involves threat of human life or there is a crime in progress CALL 911.
