Fourth Plain Area - Sidewalk Project along Rossiter and Neals Lanes
Sidewalk Project Planned for Rossiter Lane and Neals Lane
The City of Vancouver will be constructing new sidewalks in the Fourth Plain Village neighborhood to improve livability and pedestrian safety.
The project will provide sidewalks along Rossiter Lane and Neals Lane, from Fourth Plain Boulevard to 27th Street, in places where there are no sidewalks now. The new, continuous walkway will help keep pedestrians safely away from traffic while providing a direct route to Fourth Plain Boulevard and improving access to transit services.
The project is being fully funding through a grant from the Federal Highway Administration Congestion Mitigation and Air Quality Improvement (CMAQ) Program.
The City has hired consultants EPIC Land Solutions to work with property owners to acquire right of way and construction permits. Design and right-of-way acquisitions are planned for this year. Construction is expected to occur in 2016.
