A portion of East Evergreen Boulevard along Officers Row, east of the rotary with Fort Vancouver Way, will be closed Sunday, March 16, while Vancouver Public Works' Water Operations crews repair a water main.
The repair work is expected to get underway about 9 a.m. and be wrapped up by 6 p.m. The street will be closed for most of that time, from about 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The closure of East Evergreen Boulevard will be from the east leg of the rotary at Fort Vancouver Way to the entrance of Fort Vancouver National Historic Site. Residents along Officers Row may continue to use the Officers Row access street just north of East Evergreen Boulevard. Visitors to the Fort will be able to access the Evergreen Boulevard entrance from the east, via Reserve Street. The location of the closure, day and timing is intended to minimize as much as possible the impact to area businesses, school and transit buses, services, and activities and events.
To complete the repairs, adjacent properties served by the main can expect water service to be temporarily shut down from about 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Properties affected by the water shutdown should receive a notice at their door informing them of the necessary temporary water interruption.
