Vancouver’s Sewer Connection Incentive Program (SCIP) provides an easy and affordable solution to septic owners in the City of Vancouver's service area who are ready to make the connection to our safe, reliable public wastewater system. General Project Background

Vancouver’s Sewer Connection Incentive Program (SCIP) extends public wastewater main lines to areas where septic systems were initially installed because sewer wasn't available then, typically areas that were later annexed into the city. Through SCIP, we are working with homeowners to provide an easy and affordable solution to change from septic systems to safe, reliable public sewer.

Current Projects (Construction Phase)

Southridge Sanitary Sewer Improvements – Southeast 110th Avenue, north of Southeast 10th Street

The Southridge sewer project is located in the Ellsworth Springs neighborhood and will provide sanitary sewer service to 25 properties. A letter was sent to the property owners on Thursday, June 4, 2015. Construction of this project began in early March, with project completion anticipated for the middle of April 2016. The work includes the installation of approximately 1,400 feet of sanitary sewer main along SE 110th Avenue, including sewer laterals to property lines. See project map below.

Fircrest Sanitary Sewer Improvements – Portions of East Mill Plain Boulevard, Northeast 94th Avenue, Northeast 95th Avenue and Northeast 4th Street

The Fircrest sewer project is located just east of the North Garrison Heights neighborhood and will provide sanitary sewer service to 39 residential properties. A project meeting with the involved properties occurred on Tuesday, September 30, 2014, 7 p.m. at the Evergreen School District Administrative Offices. Construction of this project is anticipated to begin during the middle of March, with completion anticipated for the end of May 2016. The work incudes the installation of approximately 2,750 feet of sanitary sewer mains, including sewer laterals to property lines. NE 136th/141st Avenue – Sanitary Sewer Improvements

The NE 136th/141st Avenue sewer project is located in the Parkside neighborhood and will provide sanitary sewer service to 40 residential properties. A project meeting with the involved properties occurred on Tuesday, September 30, 2014, 7 p.m. at the Evergreen School District Administrative Offices. Construction of this project is anticipated to begin in early 2016. See project map below.

Current Projects (Design Phase)

Granada South – Sanitary Sewer Improvements

The Granada South sewer project is located just east of the North Garrison Heights neighborhood and will provide sanitary sewer service to 277 residential properties. A project meeting with the involved property owners was held Thursday, June 25, 2015, 7 p.m. in the Student Commons at Heritage High School. Construction of this project is anticipated to begin in 2016. See project map below.

Premier Acres – Sanitary Sewer Improvements

The Premier Acres sewer project will provide sanitary sewer services to 70 residential properties. A  letter was sent to the property owners on Jan. 21, 2016. A project meeting with the involved properties occurred on Thursday, February 11, 2016, 7pm at Fircrest Elementary School. Construction of this project is anticipated to begin early 2017. Lieser Homesites – Sanitary Sewer Improvements

The Lieser Homesites project will provide sanitary sewer services to 26 residential properties in Vancouver Heights and North Garrison Heights neighborhoods. A  letter was sent to the property owners on Jan. 21, 2016. A project meeting with the involved properties occurred on Thursday, February 11, 2016, 7 p.m. at Fircrest Elementary School. Construction of this project is anticipated to begin early 2017. See project map below.

Future Projects

Additional projects are being assessed as part of the city’s overall SCIP efforts. Property owners will be contacted when it has been determined that the project will move forward to the design phase.
