Water Workshop for Educators
New this year: STEM Teacher Workshop
A new teacher workshop is being offered this year that focuses on science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM). Attend this four-day workshop at four great locations. Take tours and learn how technology is used every day in different fields of study. Talk with scientists and engineers and learn how they use science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. Engage in activities that you can do with your class. Click here for course flyer and registration information.
Past Water Workshops
Are you an educator who wants to learn more about water for personal use, habitat restoration, energy, wildlife and other uses to take back to your classroom? During the year, the Water Center offers various workshops for educators, with clock hours provided.
Some past workshop topics include:
- Touring and learning about our local water supply
- Discovering the power of water
- Delving in the history of the gorge by tracing journeys of the salmon and mapping geologic features
