RFP #1-12 - Vancouver Fire Service Delivery Modeling and Facility Assessment

The City is soliciting qualified firms for the purpose of exploring alternative service delivery models that will maintain or enhance the Vancouver Fire Dept. The selected firm will work with key stakeholders representing the City Manager's office, Fire Department administration, the Fire employee unions, and a group of citizens at large to deliver their findings and recommendations to the City Manager. In addition to exploring altenatives service delivery models, the selected firm wil assess the current condition of all the fire stations and review the City's draft repair and replacement schedule of values.

Quote #3 - Supply and Delivery of 150-lb Chlorine Dry Scrubber

The City of Vancouver is seeking a vendor to supply and deliver a 150-lb dry chlorine gas scrubber. Item must meet or exceed City of Vancouver Specifications outlined in the technical specification pages.

Equipment supplied shall meet all local, state, and federal regulations having jurisdiction over the equipment and final use, including but not limited to requirements of the International Fire Code, Uniform Fire Code and the Occupation Safety and Health Administration. In addition, the equipment shall meet all current requirements, recommendations, and suggestions published by the Chlorine Institute.

The manufacturer must have a minimum of five (5) years of experience in the design, fabrication, and installation and testing of systems that are effective in converting chlorine to non-toxic solids to be considered in this solicitation. Quotations from manufacturers with less than 5 years of experience will not be accepted and considered non-responsive.

The City of Vancouver will provide opportunity for vendors to present approved equal item/s of which the City will determine if the alternate item(s) / product(s) will meet City’s requirements. If you are interested in presenting an “equal” product/s, please call Mike Permin at (360) 696-8177 no later than 3:00 p.m. on February 7, 2012 to schedule an appointment for a product presentation which must be completed no later than February 9, 2012 at 3:00 pm. The City, at its sole discretion, will determine if the product presented meets the requirements outlined in this solicitation.
