Getting Started with E-mail Updates from the City of Vancouver

Get e-mail updates from the City of Vancouver

Stay up-to-date with City programs and issues that matter to you with this new service.  The City will notify you by e-mail when specific Web site pages are updated. Choose the topics you want, and change them online, anytime. Don’t search for the information; let it come to you. Look for the symbol below, found throughout the Web site.

1. Item subscription link

Look for this symbol on the City of Vancouver Web site (www.cityofvancouver.us .) Click the link to subscribe to that Web page.

2. Sign up with your e-mail address

Your e-mail address is the only thing you need to start receiving updates. Need to add a second address? Would you rather receive one daily digest for all your subscription items? You can choose the options you want and change them any time.

3. Provide your ZIP code and neighborhood, if you choose.

You’ll be asked to provide your ZIP code and the neighborhood you live in. These are not required, but will help the City send messages to specific parts of town.

4. Every e-mail you receive has links back to your personalized preferences.

The e-mails you’ll receive include a link to the updated page. Every message also includes a link to your personalized preferences page. You can change your preferences and add or delete subscription items any time.

5. Use the Add Subscriptions link to see other topics that might interest you

The “Add Subscriptions” link on your personalized preferences page will show you all of the subscription items the City offers.

6.

Add or delete subscription items by checking and un-checking the boxes. Select whole categories by checking the box next to the category name. Some longer categories are “collapsed” to save space on your screen. Click the plus (+) sign to expand these and see all the items in that category.

Add or remove subscription items from your personalized list.
