Important Information about 2012 Rates

Effective March 1, 2012, garbage and recycling rates for residential and commercial customers will increase by 1.5 percent. For the typical single-family customer, with weekly 32-gallon-cart service and optional yard debris service, that equals an additional 38 cents per month. The new rates, adopted Dec. 19 by Vancouver City Council, allow the city to meet its contractual agreement with hauler Waste Connections and partially keep pace with inflationary costs. The Solid Waste Utility is using some existing funds to offset the 2012 rates. Please see below or click here for more detailed information.
