Street Improvement Projects

Esther Short Streetscape

Project Update, July 2005

Esther Short SteetscapeThe project is complete!

Esther and Sixth streets have had a new, pedestrian-friendly transformation, with a modern “roundabout” at the intersection, attractive streetscaping, Farmers Market enhancements, updated utilities underground and improved traffic flow to accommodate all the new improvements in the neighborhood. The improved Sixth Street was opened in conjunction with the new Hotel and Conference Center on June 15. Esther Street was opened once more to public traffic and Vancouver Farmers Market use on July 1.

Drive or walk around the area to see how great it looks!
