Transportation Funding and Project List

As you walk, bike or drive around Vancouver, you will notice several transportation projects. In 2007, the Vancouver City Council enacted a $50 per employee business fee to address congestion and mobility issues. Transportation Services has delivered on the first phase of projects which included improvements at Fourth Plain Blvd and 65th/66th Ave, Mill Plain Blvd and 104th Ave, Esther St and 4th St, NE Thurston Rd and Van Mall Dr/Parkway Dr, and NE 49th St from 112th to 122nd Ave.

This dedicated funding will be used for a second and final phase of projects that are currently under design. These projects include:

·         Mill Plain Blvd & 136th Ave

·         NE 18th St from I-205 to 138th Ave

·         NE 138th Ave from 28th St to 49th St

·         SE 164th Ave from SE 1st St to SE 34th St

Thank you for keeping Vancouver moving

Major Projects

Low-cost, short-term improvements include new striping, larger signs, signal timing upgrades and pedestrian count-down signals. Construction of curb ramps and sidewalk improvements are also planned from NE 87th to 107th Ave.
