About Vancouver Solid Waste and Recycling

Vancouver's Solid Waste Services, part of the Public Works Department, provides help and information to neighborhoods, businesses and residents to make our community sparkle. We oversee garbage, recycling and organics collection contracts and look for new ways to improve these services.

Please take a moment to learn more about the many programs and projects offered in the City of Vancouver to help you with reducing, reusing, recycling and proper disposal. 

Free Leaf Disposal Coupon

Click here to download and print your copy of the free leaf disposal coupon. Use the coupon from Oct. 1 to Dec. 31, 2022, for free leaf disposal at H & H Wood  Recyclers, McFarlane’s Bark, Triangle Resources and West Van Materials Recovery Center. Only leaves - not other yard debris - may be disposed of as part of this free program for Vancouver and Clark County residents. A coupon is required; also look for fall leaf coupons in neighborhood newsletters and the Recycling Done Right newsletter.

Free Bulky Item Pickup

All single-family residents within the City of Vancouver who have active garbage service with Waste Connections are eligible for one FREE curbside disposal of up to five bulky items, each item weighing less than 100 pounds. Residents can sign up to schedule this one special pickup for any available day in 2022. Learn more about this disposal option or sign up below by clicking on the Bulky Item chair icon.

The City of Vancouver, Clark County and Waste Connections of Washington have teamed up to provide residential customers with a new on-the-go resource for recycling, reusing and disposing the right way. Download the free RecycleRight App for your smart phone or tablet, or use the RecycleRight tool on our website. It's free and easy to use. Click here to learn where to get your app or use the online tool to search for where to recycle, reuse, dispose of items.

Use the RecycleRight tool below or get the FREE RecycleRight app to:

• View your collection schedule and sign up for handy reminders;
• Look up donation, recycling and disposal options;
• Request yard debris pickups (where available);
• Signup for bulky item pickups; and
• SIGN UP for SERVICE ALERTS IN CASE of SCHEDULE CHANGES. Please note: If you choose to get an alert by phone call, be aware calls may be as early as 6 a.m. and as late as 9 p.m., depending upon when information becomes available. Please do not choose the phone option if those times are not acceptable to you.
