Recreation Camps

Recreation camps invite participants to play, explore and build friendships. Day camps also provide critical childcare to support working families.

Summer Camps

Registration for summer camps will open at 7 a.m. on Wednesday, April 17 for people who live within Vancouver city limits and at 7 a.m. on Thursday, April 18 for everyone else. If you are interested in a camp that is already full, you may join a wait list to be notified if space becomes available.

Youth Day Camps – Ages 6 to 10

Cost per Session: $230 City resident/$265 Non-resident 

Every day is a new opportunity to spark curiosity! Each week campers participate in action packed adventures including sports, outdoor games, crafts, swimming, water activities and visits from special guests. Activities are centered on weekly themes.

Drop-off opens at 8 a.m. There are structured activities from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. with pick-up by 5:30 p.m. There is a 1:8 staff-to-child ratio and participants may walk up to 1.5-miles to local parks during the day.

Teen Camps – Ages 11-14

Cost per Session: $334 City resident/$384 Non-resident 

Teen Camp is more than just a summer activity —it’s a life experience with adventures that you will remember for years to come. Teens will connect with nature and day camp friends in a fun and creative way. The experience is designed to empower campers to develop skills in teamwork, leadership, independence and self-reliance, discovery and inspiration. Vancouver Parks, Recreation and Cultural Services is an organization where the standards are high, the expectations clear, and the tone adventurous.

Drop-off opens at 8:30 a.m. There are structured camp activities are from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. with pick-up by 5 p.m. Field trips may include trail hikes, Camp Dakota adventure park and more! Participants may walk up to 3-miles for hikes during the camp day.

2024 Firstenburg Community Center Teen Camp (700 NE 136th Ave.)

Access to Recreation Camps – People with Disabilities Ages 13+

Cost per Session: $249 City resident/$286 Non-resident

This camp is focused on summer fun and building social connections. Campers play games, stay active, make crafts, participate in water play, watch movies and much more. Camp will also feature special guest visitors including clowns, balloon artists and the snow cone truck!

Camp runs from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Campers will be divided into groups of 10 with 2 staff for indoor activities. The groups will combine for larger outdoor activities.

Partner Camps

Vancouver Parks, Recreation and Cultural Services partners with local organizations to provide additional summer camp opportunities in Vancouver. Since these camps are operated by partners, they do not qualify for the resident fee discount and are not eligible for Everybody Plays scholarship funds. You will register directly through the partner hosting the camp.

Summer Camp Payment Plan

Payment plans are now available to make summer camps more affordable and accessible for families. The payment plan option must be selected at the time of registration.

Payment Plan Overview

  • A 15% initial payment is due at the time of registration.  
  • A credit card is required to be saved to your account and will be charged each Friday, beginning May 10. 
  • Final payment is due 2 weeks before the start date of each week of camp. 
  • If a scheduled payment declines, you will be contacted and have 3 days to make the missed payment and update your credit card information for future payments. If you do not do so within 3 days of being notified, the participant will be withdrawn from each week of camp that the payment failed for and refunded any payments made to date minus the $5 processing fee per week. 
  • If payment information changes it is your responsibility to update with Vancouver Parks, Recreation and Cultural Services.

Summer Camp Scholarships

The Everybody Plays! scholarship covers 50% of tuition costs for all eligible and participating children and adults with disabilities within the qualifying household. If you are eligible, your household will automatically receive the scholarship benefit when registering for recreation programs. Once the scholarship is awarded, you will not have to reapply during the calendar year.

Skyhawks – Multisport Clinics and Camps

Skyhawks offers exciting, high-energy sports clinics, camps and classes for ages 2 to 14. Choose from soccer, volleyball or multi-sport, which includes basketball and soccer.

Volcanoes Basketball Clinics and Camps

Vancouver Volcanoes offers family friendly, affordable basketball experiences to influence local youth to reach their fullest potential. They host basic skills development clinics for ages 6 to 9, USA Basketball drills and concepts clinics for ages 9 to 12, and camps for ages 6 to 12.

Soccer Shots Premier Program

Soccer Shots Premier program is a fun, game filled class that challenges children to develop their individual skills, fitness and sportsmanship. Our age-appropriate curriculum progresses to competitive play, as children are introduced to tactical elements of the game. Each season your child takes our Soccer Shots Premier Class, expect them to build a solid foundation in soccer and feel more confident in their ability to scrimmage.

18 Shots Junior and Adult Golf Classes

18 Shots junior and adult golf classes and camps are located at The Shops at Erickson Farms, 10706 NW Lakeshore Ave. in Vancouver. Each day includes coaching, game-based learning, and plenty of fun. Students will learn skills for putting, short game and full swing in an indoor facility golf facility.

UK International Soccer

UK International Soccer offers development programs for ages 4-14 led by professional international coaches. Under the guidance of our coaches, every player, from beginner to advanced, is provided with The Best Possible Soccer Experience.

Jordan Kent’s Just Kids Skills Camps

Jordan Kent’s Just Kids Skills Camps offers beginning to intermediate fundamental training in football, soccer, and basketball for ages 6-12. Campers will also participate in agility training, wacky games, daily life skills talks and nutrition education. Campers will learn to challenge themselves and develop a love for their sport in a positive and exciting setting. The 2024 summer camp is July 29 to August 1.
