Downtown Parking
The City of Vancouver offers a variety of parking options in downtown Vancouver and in Uptown Village, including hourly on-street parking, off-street lots and parking garages, and monthly parking permits.
On-Street Parking
Parking is enforced Monday – Friday, 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Parking is free on weekdays after 6 p.m., on weekends and on the following holidays:
- New Year’s Day
- Martin Luther King, Jr. Day
- Presidents’ Day
- Memorial Day
- Juneteenth
- Independence Day
- Labor Day
- Veterans Day
- Thanksgiving Day
- Native American Heritage Day
- Christmas Day
Rates
Effective Wednesday, May 1, 2024, on-street hourly parking in the Waterfront District will increase from $2.00 per hour to $2.50 per hour.
- Parking Pay Stations: $1.75 per hour; $2.00 per hour – Waterfront District
- Coin-operated Parking Meters: $.50 per hour
- Parking Kitty rate at coin-operated: $1.75 per hour
Using Parking Meters and Pay Stations
- All parking meters and pay stations accept U.S. coins.
- Parking pay stations also accept debit, Visa or MasterCard.
- Paying with the Parking Kitty app is available at meters and pay stations with Parking Kitty stickers on them or signs near them
- Maximum time stays are posted on each parking meter and pay station sign.
- “Feeding the meter,” or parking longer than the posted time, is prohibited.
Off-Street Parking
Recognizing the importance of affordable and convenient parking options for the success of downtown redevelopment efforts, the City of Vancouver owns and operates three surface parking lots and one Park ‘n Go parking garage. Hourly parking is only available in the Park ‘n Go garage.
