On 03-13-13, at approximately 8:50 p.m., Vancouver Police responded to a  report of a shoplift at 7-11 located at 4500 NE St Johns Blvd.The clerk reported that three teen males entered the store went straight to the cooler and took several cases of beer and then walked right out. Once out the door, they ran west in the direction of St James Rd.

POSTED ON: JUNE 5, 2013

On June 2, 2013 at approximately 11:30 a.m., Vancouver Police responded to the B&B Mart located at 8411 NE Mill Plain Blvd regarding a commercial burglary.  According to an employee sometime around 2:00 a.m., an unidentified male subject broke out the most eastern front window to the business, entered and stole two cases of beer and fled. At  approximately 4:15 a.m., a suspect again enters the same window and stole approximately 35 containers of Grizzly Chewing Tobacco.

POSTED: AUGUST 23, 2013

On August 20, 2013 Vancouver Police responded to the Walgreens located at 2515 Main St for a report of a theft of merchandise and the attempted assault of an employee. The suspect, a white male in his 50's wearing blue jeans and a flame shirt, with a white mustache/goatee, entered the store and fled on foot with the stolen merchandise. When confronted by a store employee the suspect attempted to strike the employee.

POSTED AUGUST 28, 2013

On August 27, 2013 Vancouver Police responded to the 13300 block of NE 31st Street for a report of a burglary in progress. Three children ages 15, 13 and 11 were at the home when an unknown male began ringing the doorbell.  After not receiving an answer at the door, the male left, walked part way down the block and then returned to the house several minutes later. The male again began ringing the doorbell and turned the door knob in an attempt to open the door.  The children fled to a back room calling a parent and 9-1-1.

The male used bodily force to open the locked door, damaging the door and door frame. The male is believed to have entered partway into the residence and had fled prior to police arrival.

One of the kids snapped a cell phone photo of the suspect as he walked away.
The suspect is described as a white male, approximately 6'1"-6'2", mid 30s, heavy build, dark brown short hair and goatee/mustache, wearing a light colored plaid shirt and had sunglasses perched on top of his head.

POSTED OCTOBER 15, 2013

On October 11, 2013 Vancouver Police responded to the S and S Quick Mart at 13808 NE 28th Street for the report of a theft of two bicycles. Two youth parked their bikes in front of the business while they went inside to make a purchase, when they came out the bikes were gone.

Bike 1 is a BMX Style with a gray frame (the original color was green), Chrome handle bars with black grips, the ends of the grips are pink on one side and green on the other side. The back rim is chrome and white.

Bike 2 is a  Blue Specialized brand mountain bike.

On October 3, 2013 Vancouver Police were contacted regarding identity theft. The victim's wallet has been stolen several months prior and recently someone has been opening up fraudulent lines of credit and bank accounts under the victim's name. Surveillance video captured the image of a suspect who was attempting to make a withdrawal from the victim's bank account using the victim's stolen driver's license. The suspect was seen driving away in a rented black 2013 Chrysler 300 with Missouri plates.

On November 27, 2013 the suspect entered a Target store located at 7809 NE Vancouver Plaza Drive and purchased $1399 worth of merchandise paying with fourteen counterfeit $100 bills.  The bills are not found to be counterfeit until a day later.  On December 1, 2013 the same suspect returns to the same store on and purchases $1100 worth of merchandise, again paying with counterfeit $100 bills.  On both occasions the suspect leaves the parking lot in a black four door sedan.

On December 20, 2013 Vancouver Police responded to a call of a theft at the 7-11 located at 5600 NE Fourth Plain Blvd.  A male entered the store and took two toy helicopters from the shelf and ran out of the store.

The suspect is seen to be a white or Hispanic male, 5'08"-5'10", dark hair, with a goatee with the facial hair lining the jaw line and going up into his sideburns.  He was wearing dark gray sweat pants with a white stripe down both legs, navy blue sweatshirt, white shirt underneath and white tennis shoes.

POSTED DECEMBER 24, 2013

On December 21, 2013 Vancouver Police responded to the 7-11 located at 5600 NE Fourth Plain Blvd for the report of a theft.  According to a store employee, three suspects (2 females and 1 male) entered the store, loitered for about a half hour and then left together. The male then walked back in stole two remote control helicopters.  They were seen leaving in what appears to be a 2008 or newer white Mazda 6 four door sedan.

Suspects are described as: 

  • Female #1: white,5'06"-5'08", 160 lbs. black hair, wearing gray sweats, gray shoes with white stripe.  A jacket that looks like a letterman's jacket with white sleeves and dark colored middle section with hood.  She had a red shirt underneath and had a gray headband around her hair.  She appeared to be in her mid 20's.
  • Female #2: white, 5'06", 160lbs, dark hair, wearing gray sweats, black hoodie, gray scarf and black shoes.  She appeared to be in her mid 20's.
  • Male #1: white, 5'08"-5'10", 160 lbs, crew cut, salt and pepper goateee with soul patch, wearing black pants, long sleeve black shirt, black/white tennis shoes.  He had his ears pierced, a cross necklace and had a visible tattoo on his neck.  The male appeared to be in his mid 30's.

POSTED DECEMBER 30, 2013

On  December 19, 2013 at about 8:30 p.m. Vancouver Police responded to a theft at Beacock Music (1420 SE 163rd Ave). A male subject entered the store and while employees were helping other customers stole a keyboard synthesizer and left the store on foot. 

Surveillance cameras captured an image of the suspect who is described as white male, 40's, 5'11", 175 lbs., dark short brown hair with a bald patch on the back / top of his head, dark long jacket and dark pants, scruffy facial hair.

On 12/10/13 Vancouver Police were contacted by a victim whose wallet was stolen from her desk drawer while she was at her place of employment (Kearney Breast Center, Peace Health SW Hospital).

Two female suspects were later captured on surveillance video at a Vancouver retailer using the victim's credit card and a photo of their vehicle was also captured.

POSTED JANUARY 7, 2014

On January 4, 2014 the Target Store at 16200 SE Mill Plain Blvd. reported a fraud involving two males who purchased over $2000 worth of electronics using counterfeit $100, $20, and $10 bills.  The counterfeit bills were passed by a black male adult wearing a red shirt, jeans, and a dark jacket who was accompanied by a white male adult wearing jeans, a dark coat, and a knit cap.

On 01-22-14 at approximately 12:35 p.m., Vancouver Police responded to a fraud investigation at 221 NE 104th Ave (Wal-Mart).  The victim reported that an unknown suspect picked up a prescription that did not belong to him.

Vancouver  Police are investigating a suspect who used stolen credit card information to make fraudulent purchases at the Safeway in Jantzen Beach.

On February 5, 2014 Vancouver Police were contacted by a Vancouver resident that discovered their social security number had been used to open a Kohl's credit card. Several fraudulent transactions were made with this card at the Kohl's Store located in Wood Village.

The suspect's committing the fraudulent transactions were captured on surveillance video.

On February 17, 2014 Vancouver Police were contacted regarding the theft of a wallet. The victim was getting off a CTRAN bus in the area of 2600 T Street when the driver told her she had dropped her wallet in her seat. A male on the bus grabbed the wallet and ran off.  The suspect is a white male, bald, wearing a baggy, dark blue hooded sweatshirt with baggy pants.

On March 27,. 2014, Vancouver Police were contacted regarding the theft of a purse. The victim left her purse in her unlocked vehicle while she went into a convenience store located at 10512 SE Mill Plain. When she came out of the store her purse was gone. On April 5, 2014 Vancouver Police responded to the S&S Quick Mart (13808 NE 28th St.) for the report of a theft of alcohol.  A male who appeared to be underage was observed by an employee concealing two alcoholic beverages under his arms and fleeing from the store without making payment for the merchandise.

A male suspect entered the store, picked out a pair of headphones and fled the store without paying for the merchandise. On April 21, 2014 Vancouver Police responded to the Westfield Nordstrom for a theft. According to loss prevention staff at the store, a female entered the store and left wearing an item of clothing that she did not pay for. When confronted by the employees she fled from the store with her male companion.

On May 2, 2014 Vancouver Police responded to a report of a stolen vehicle. The victim exited her 2013 Black Kia Sorento at her apartment complex at 4317 NE 66th Ave and left the vehicle running and her purse inside.  When she returned minutes later to the vehicle, it was gone. 

The suspect later used the victims debit card at an ATM machine and a surveillance camera captured his image. The vehicle has since been located.

On 05/09/2014 Vancouver Police responded to a theft at the Ulta store at Vancouver Mall. Two suspects, a black male and a black female, enter the store, conceal several items of merchandise and flee when confronted by an employee. While departing the parking lot, the suspect vehicle backed into a Mall Security truck and fled the scene in a Gold Pontiac Grand AM with License plate WA 469DEN.

On 5/21/2014 at approximately 1:54 p.m., Vancouver police responded to an assault and robbery at the bus stop at W. 24th/Broadway Street. The victim got off the bus, was approached by an unknown male who asked him for money and when the victim refused the suspect assaulted the victim and took his wallet.
 
The suspect is described as a white male, 20's, 6'1",large build, short  "buzz cut" light brown hair with no facial hair.  The suspect was wearing a white button up shirt with a gray tank top underneath and dark colored brown khaki shorts. 
 
A witness captured an image of the suspect running away.

On May 22, 2014, Vancouver Police responded to take a report of a stolen vehicle. The victim also reported that their wallet was inside the vehicle when is was stolen. The vehicle was recovered unoccupied later that day but the wallet was gone. Multiple fraudulent charges have been made using the victims credit card. It is possible the suspect lives in the 10400 block of NE Fourth Plain and could be seen walking in the area to/from various stores.

On April 16, 2014, a male entered a Riverview Bank branch in Vancouver, Washington, presented a demand note to the teller and robbed the bank. The suspect initially fled on foot, and may have gotten into a dark-colored pick up. 

Vancouver Police Detectives are attempting to identify the suspect who is a white male, possibly in his 20’s, less than 6 feet tall, with a slightly heavy build.  A surveillance photo of the suspect is attached.

POSTED JUNE 26, 2014

On 6-25-14 at approximately 2:35 PM the person in this photo followed the FedEx delivery truck through the neighborhood on Whitman Ave.  Once the truck made a delivery, the suspect  backed into the victims driveway, took the package and placed it in the back of the vehicle shown. 

A surveillance camera in the neighborhood captured an image of the suspect and the vehicle.
