Building permit fees are based on several factors. If you want an estimate for the fees related to your project you can request an estimate by providing a few details and your contact information.

Please provide a brief description of the proposed scope of work.
If adding new square footage please provide total new square footage, type of use (e.g. garage, dwelling, retail, etc.) and construction type (e.g. VB, IIB, etc.) If commercial or multi-family use, please also indicate square footage that will have fire sprinklers and/or A/C.

Payment Process

Before you can upload plans or documents in ePlans, review fees must be paid.

All fees can be paid in the Online Permit Center via Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover or eCheck, where you can check out as a guest or create a profile to save your information.

The Permit Center has started charging nonrefundable service fees for payments made with credit and debit cards both online and in-person beginning June 23, 2025. The processing fee will be 2.65% of the transaction amount.

Customers who wish to avoid the fee may pay by echeck online or with check or cash by mail or in person.
