What will Vancouver look like in 2045?

Join us for an interactive public meeting on the Draft Environmental Impact Statement for the City of Vancouver’s Comprehensive Plan Update, Our Vancouver 2045.

Get involved in shaping Our Vancouver, our future! Our comprehensive plan is a powerful tool used to guide decisions around how we invest in our future growth, including parks, housing and transportation. It will shape how land is used and developed as we grow.

Stop by this drop-in event anytime to:

  • See the different kinds of development that could be possible for where you live, work, and play in Vancouver.
  • Learn about how the different land use possibilities (AKA alternatives) could impact the built and natural environment.
  • Meet the project team and ask questions.
  • Provide comments to help shape the final map and plan for Vancouver’s growth and development.

This event is free and open to the public. Food will be provided. Registration is encouraged, but not required.

Accessibility

  • Kids’ corner with snacks.
  • Materials in English and Spanish.
  • Spanish interpreters will be provided.
  • On-demand virtual or phone interpretation available for a variety of languages including Russian, Vietnamese and American Sign Language.
  • Interpreters and translations for additional languages can be provided if requested via the registration form, phone, or email.
  • Assisted listening devices will be available.
  • ADA parking.
  • Building is on the ground floor with no-step entry.
  • Restrooms are available and ADA-accessible.

Getting there 

Walk / Roll 

The event will take place on the first floor of the building. The sidewalks surrounding the building have ramps. 

Bike / Small Mobility 

There are bike lanes on C Street, Columbia Street, and E 8th Street in downtown and along Columbia Way. Bike parking and e-bike charging is available inside City Hall lobby.  

Bus / C-TRAN

Catch the southbound #71 bus to downtown Vancouver, or the Vine on Fourth Plain (Green Line) or the Vine on Mill Plain (Red Line) and get off at the Turtle Place stop on 7th Street. 

You can also catch any of these other bus routes to downtown Vancouver: #2, #25, #30, #32, #41, #60, or #105. Downtown C-Tran Map

Vehicles 

If driving, please carpool if you can! Downtown has paid street parking and garage parking, or sliding scale parking for Vancouver Farmers Market. Note: The farmers market will be going on during this event, so there will be additional traffic around the area and parking may be busy. 

There is an ADA space in front of City Hall and additional spaces in the rear parking lot.
