Food assistance during the federal government shutdown

As of Nov. 7, the nearly 1 million Washingtonians who rely on the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) to feed themselves and their families will start receiving their benefits. Even with the resumption of SNAP, food insecurity is still a reality for many households.
