Vancouver Police Arrest Sex Offender for Rape of Teen
July 24, 2025
On July 11, 2025, Vancouver Police responded to an area hospital for the report that a 12-year-old had been provided alcohol by an adult male who then had sexual relations with her. Investigators learned the male was 24-year-old Suliaman Abdul-Hadi, who is a level 3 sex offender who is on GPS monitoring and restricted from being around minors.
On July 18, 2025, with assistance from an Uncrewed Aircraft System (UAS), detectives from the Children’s Justice Center/Elder Justice Center, Digital Evidence Cybercrime Unit (DECU), and the Crime Reduction Unit (CRU), executed a search warrant at Abdul-Hadi’s residence in the 2900 block of NE 143rd Avenue in Vancouver. Abdul-Hadi attempted to flee the residence but was confronted by a Vancouver Police K9 team and taken into custody.
Suliaman Abdul-Hadi was booked into the Clark County Jail for Rape of a Child II, Rape of a Child III, Communication with A Minor for Immoral Purposes, Supplying Liquor to Minors, Disorderly Conduct, Obstruction of a Law Enforcement Officer and Failure to Register as a Sex Offender.
This investigation is ongoing, and detectives believe there may be numerous other child victims associated with Abdul-Hadi who targets young girls 11-17. Anyone who may have had contact with Abdul-Hadi or has information about juveniles he has had contact with is asked to contact Detective LeAnn Cone at leann.cone@cityofvancouver.us or Sgt. Zachary Ripp at zachary.ripp@cityofvancouver.us.
