Public Swim

The pool and slide are open for all ages play.

  • Non-swimmers and children under 7 (with or without life jacket) must always be within arm’s reach of a parent or a responsible adult.
  • One adult must be in the water for every three children under age 7.
  • Children ages 3 and under and non-toilet trained children must wear swim diapers and plastic pants. These items may be purchased at the front desk.
  • Safety is our top priority. Public Swim capacity is always dependent on the number of lifeguard staff available to ensure proper safety ratios are maintained.

There is no cost for Marshall members to attend Public Swim. Visitors must pay the daily drop-in fee. For information about hours and fees, visit the Marshall Community Center webpage.

Bauman Family Swim

The Bauman Family Swim is provided to the general public at a reduced cost thanks to a generous donation by Bauman Chiropractic and John and Debra Bauman and family. Children 15 and under must be accompanied in the water by a parent, all other public swim rules and guidelines remain in place. Wrist bands are available to purchase at the front desk 1-hour before swim begins.

Swim Lessons

Due to a lifeguard staffing shortage, Marshall Pool will not offer swim lessons through the end of 2023. Limited swim lessons are available at Firstenburg Pool. Swim Lessons are available starting at 6-months old and continuing for the adult beginner. Classes are taught by Red Cross-certified Water Safety Instructors (WSI). You do not need to be a community center member to register for swim lessons.
