Welcome to the Water Center!
Whether exploring our Website or visiting our beautiful facility overlooking the Columbia River in Vancouver, you'll find a world of information designed to inspire us to become better stewards of our water resources. Teaching people of all ages how to wisely use this important, life-giving natural resource is what Vancouver's Water Resources Education Center is all about.
Roll on Columbia! A Celebration of the Columbia River Watershed
The Water Resources Education Center is kicking off 2017 with a tribute to the watershed we call home — the mighty Columbia River Watershed. Have you ever wondered how big our watershed is and how it was formed? What animals call the Columbia home? How do humans depend on the watershed? Enjoy an afternoon of discovery and exploration with games, science experiments and crafts!
The Water Center is observing Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, by hosting a volunteer event. This is a family-friendly event, and volunteers will help clean the beach.
See and Do at the Water CenterInside and outside, the Water Center is brimming with things for visitors of all ages to do and see. Enjoy interactive exhibits, hands-on activities, aquaria swimming with fish, toddler-friendly Puddles Place, environmental artwork, natural gardens, wildlife-friendly wetlands and more!
Educators/StudentsEach year, the Water Center provides a new focus and hands-on related activities for its education offerings. Whether it's school field trips for pre-kindergartners to grade 12, outreach opportunities, group visits or watershed monitoring service, these programs are a great way to learn about natural resources and the world around us.
