Service Requests - Public Works

Vancouver Public Works crews are here to help.

The form below has been created to enhance customer access to our Operations and Maintenance Services. Please review the list of frequently requested public services below, and click on the type of service you need.

If your issue is urgent, such as a public water line break or sewer backup, or a major traffic signal not functioning:

  • Call 360-487-8177, during regular office hours of 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, or 360-693-9302, after hours and holidays.
  • In the case of a life-threatening emergency, call 911.

Providing detailed locations and information, such as nearest intersection for potholes and the asset tag numbers on poles for street lights not working properly, will help us better respond to your request. We also ask for your email address, solely so we may contact you to verify the service request and ask any follow-up questions. A phone number is also helpful, but not required.

Vancouver Public Works is dedicated to providing quality customer service. Our goal is to contact you within one business day of your initial request.

If you would prefer to call rather than using the form, you can reach us at 360-487-8177, 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, with the exception of official holidays. As noted above, for after-hour emergencies, you may also call directly to 360-693-9302.

If you are calling about a downed power line, please contact to Clark Public Utilities at 360-992-8000 or 360-992-3000.

In case of a life-threatening emergency, please call 911.

Please note: If you are not sure whether the location is within the City of Vancouver, you may wish to first click here and check using this handy mapping tool.
